Tell your body that it is strong, tell your mind that it is strong and have unbounded faith and hope in yourself. Those who have embraced yoga in their lives have unfolded a beautiful chapter of life which is about living healthy, staying fit… and living longer and happier.
It’s not a surprise that our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, took the initiative to promote yoga on International Platform in the United Nations General Assembly, thus celebrating 21st June, every year as Yoga Day.
Our school witnessed an active ambience in the morning assembly, when our beloved Principal, Sr. Edwina, along with teachers and students of all sections demonstrated various yoga asanas. The day began with warm up exercises, duly explained and guided by our Sports Masters. The colour of the day being white, the atmosphere gave a serene and perfect look appropriate for the occasion. Every asana was performed diligently and with purpose to enhance their mental and physical health. In the end, Pranayama (breath control) was performed by all. Our Principal concluded the day by addressing students the importance of yoga when done on daily basis would indeed their concentration level. Special focus was on meditation to calm and relax their mind and body and also to keep fit.
Thus, regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
