CONSTITUTION OF ECO CLUB
NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
By Robert Frost
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
How well written by the great poet, long ago, when he had already predicted the pathetic state of the world environment in coming future, when nature will be in lurch.
Envisaging the situation and to nurture the cognitive development of students, Queen of Angels’ Convent School organized the Eco Club which was inaugurated on 16th November 2023 by the Principal, Sr. Edwina, who guided students of Std. X to plant saplings on the School Ground, as a part of their SUPW project. The gardener, Shri Dilipbhai Bhimsangbhai, assisted them and also explained the frequency and method of watering them. Sr. Edwina, later, took the students to the Green House (at the entrance) of the school to introduce them to various types of plants including medicinal and flowering plants. Before dispersing, she advised students to observe the growth of the saplings planted by them.
