Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought. How well said by Sir Albert Einstein. Yes, creativity is a precious skill that inspires every child to develop new ideas through vivid imagination and rejuvenate oneself to a fantastic world . While we are blessed with natural creativity skills in certain forms, it is the art behind such creativity that can be learned and developed over a period of time. Queen of Angels’ Convent School has provided us a platform by introducing the Creative Club, where such skills can be unearthed to understand the foundation of art and waking up our inner artist.

The inaugural function of the Creative Club was held on 20th April 2024 at the A.V. Room of the School Building. The guest of the day was Sir Bhavesh Patel, the Art Master of Lourdes Convent School, Surat, Gujarat, who is a proud recipient of nearly 11 awards for his creative landscape paintings. His art work were also selected at several art galleries, few to name are Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, the Bombay Art Society and Art Society of India, Mumbai and has to his credit solo shows at Nehru Centre and Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. He was accompanied by four ex-students of the same school who too are great artists.

The key to explore the world of creativity was pressed by the Guest and respected Principal, Sr. Edwina, and the screen displayed the words ‘I hereby declare the Creative Club 2024-25 Open’ followed by thunderous applause. The Principal in her speech encouraged every student to try their level best to exhibit their hidden talents, thus taking advantage of such clubs. Later, several art methods were explained, but the prime focus was on water colour, being quite tough and complicated. Sir Bhavesh demonstrated one such sketches using his favourite hues which left every student awe-struck. Truly, another artistic bagless day indeed!
